I Did It! My First Blog Post

Welcome to the Cocahoe Log: Fish, Feathers, and Frying Pans

If you are reading this, it means two things. First, our brand-new blog actually works. Second, Amy did not accidentally delete our entire website while setting it up. (Kevin monitored closely, just in case). Celebrate the small victories, right?

Welcome to the official blog for Cocahoe RV Park! We are Kevin and Amy, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to our digital campfire. Nestled right here in Aransas Pass—the absolute heart of the Texas Coastal Bend—we decided it was finally time to share a peek behind the scenes of our little slice of coastal paradise.

What is This Blog Actually About?

We promise not to bore you with technical RV leveling talk or updates on the exciting world of gravel maintenance. Instead, we are focusing on the good stuff:

  • Fish Stories: Mostly true ones. We will share what is biting in our coastal waters, where to cast, and how to look like a pro even if you just caught a boot.
  • Birding Chronicles: For everyone who loves looking at feathered friends. Expect tips on spotting beautiful local species and fewer jokes about standard pigeons.
  • Coastal Cooking & Recipes: We take our food very seriously around here. Get ready for step-by-step guides to the ultimate fish fry, secret marinades, and recipes that will make you the hero of the outdoor kitchen.

Pull Up a Chair

Our goal is to make this space feel exactly like an evening spent hanging out with us at Cocahoe RV Park. Expect plenty of laughs, a few bad puns, and a lot of Texas hospitality.

Drop a comment below to let us know you made it here alive. Tell us what you want to hear about first: Amy’s search for the perfect crispy batter, or the time a local pelican stole a fish right out of our catch.

Leaving you with a little salt air,

Amy

    1. There is a very good chance that will happen. By the way I just got in from killing cutter ants from around your site. This is about the 4th time I have hit them.

    1. Thanks, I still have a ways to go before I know what all I am actually doing, and in this process I hope I don’t crash everything that I have done. “Onward and Upward”
